Hilldrup’s Charles W. McDaniel Elected as New Chairman of UniGroup’s Board of Directors

ST. LOUIS (Oct. 29, 2021) – UniGroup, the parent company of United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit and other transportation related companies, has elected Hilldrup’s Charles W. McDaniel as its chairman of the Board of Directors. A third-generation leader of Hilldrup, McDaniel has been a part of UniGroup’s board since 2015. Charles has been serving as interim chairman since summer 2021.

As Hilldrup’s top executive, McDaniel is responsible for overseeing the company’s 900 employee operation across all 12 locations. Prior to his role as Chairman, McDaniel held various leadership positions including vice-chairman and served on a number of Board level committees and advisory groups.
